To all our Parade participants, supporters and volunteers,

It is with heavy hearts that the Irish Network Japan committee
officially announces the 2020 Tokyo’s St Patrick’s Day parade that was
to be held on the Sunday the 15th March, cancelled due to the concerns
of the novel coronavirus (COVID19).

This announcement comes after recent alerts from the Tokyo Metropolitan
Government and the advice from the Minster of Health, Labour and Welfare
calling for limitations on public gathering due to the COVID 19. The
health and safety of our parade participants, supporters and volunteers
is our first priority.

The Irish Network Japan committee would like to thank everyone for all
of your help and support.

We hope you all have an enjoyable but safe St Patrick’s day however you
celebrate it on 17th March.
